INVITATION FROM PRESIDENT OF SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE
Dear Colleagues,
Last year, we proudly celebrated the 100th anniversary of our society, marking a full century of the Turkish Society of Radiology. The year 2025 is a meaningful milestone, as we take our first steps into the future while holding the wisdom of our predecessors and a century of experience in the most cherished corners of our memory. In this special year, on behalf of the TURKRAD 2025 Scientific Committee, I extend my warmest regards and it is my great pleasure to invite you, our esteemed colleagues, to the 46th National Radiology Congress organized by the Turkish Society of Radiology to be held on December 16–20, 2025 at the Pine Beach Congress Center in Belek, Antalya.
We have chosen “Radiology: From Diagnosis to Treatment” as the main theme of TURKRAD 2025, with the sub-theme “How to Do It? How to Report It?” Under the main theme, we aim to approach various topics from both diagnostic and interventional radiology perspectives in a multidisciplinary manner and to further unify the language between diagnostic and interventional radiologists. With the sub-theme, our goal is to provide concise and practical insights on how to properly perform radiologic examinations commonly used in daily practice or in specific clinical scenarios, what critical points should be addressed in reporting and what potential pitfalls could lead to diagnostic errors.
Based on these themes and shaped by the suggestions of the Education and Scientific Research Groups, we believe the educational sessions will offer significant contributions to the knowledge and expertise of our participating colleagues.
Alongside educational sessions, the congress will include a variety of other scientific events. Sessions like “60 Minutes with Cases,” which drew great interest in previous years, small-group interactive workshops, together with half-day courses held on the first and last day of the congress will once again be part of TURKRAD 2025. Hallmarks of our congress such as “Conversations Among Us,” “Film Reading Sessions,” and “Satellite Symposia” will enrich the program both in content and in spirit. Oral and selected paper presentations will provide a valuable platform for colleagues to present and discuss their scientific research. Educational posters will once again be presented in a digital format. In the popular and rewarding “Case of the Day” section, participants will have the opportunity to test their knowledge while learning. Beyond the scientific program, a diverse range of social activities will open new windows, allowing us to reconnect, enjoy time together and forge new friendships.
The social theme of this year’s congress was an easy and proud decision: “The First Turkish Women Radiologists.” It seems more than fitting that a congress organized by an association where women actively serve on decision-making boards and predominantly make up the scientific committee would honor this legacy. We look forward to the presentation on this topic, prepared by the Radiology History Studies and the Ethics, Education and Scientific Research Group, and are certain it will be both inspiring and enjoyable.
So many individuals and institutions have contributed to the success of TURKRAD 2025 that it would be impossible to name them all. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the esteemed members of the Board of the Turkish Society of Radiology, who entrusted us with the 46th National Radiology Congress and whose support we have felt at every stage. I also extend my gratitude to the Education and Scientific Research Groups for their valuable input into the scientific program, to all colleagues who have contributed scientifically to the congress, and to our esteemed stakeholders for their support in various areas of the event’s organization. Lastly, I warmly embrace my dear friends, colleagues, and teammates on the Scientific Committee who have worked tirelessly throughout the nearly year-long preparation process.
We look forward with great excitement to meeting you, our esteemed colleagues, this December in Antalya. I hope TURKRAD 2025 will be a memorable congress—both scientifically enriching and socially rewarding.
