ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Abstract submission will open as of March 24, 2025.
The final deadline for abstract submission has been determined as June 29, 2025 by the Scientific Committee of the Congress.

INFORMATION REGARDING ABSTRACTS AND UPLOADING ABSTRACTS TO THE SYSTEM

Abstracts must be submitted online via the congress website.
According to the presentation type, abstracts should be submitted as “Oral Presentation” or “Poster Presentation”;
according to the abstract category, they should be submitted under one of the following headings:

Case Report

A Topic with Images

Original Research Article

Abstracts in the “Original Research Article” category may be submitted as either Oral or Poster Presentations.
Abstracts in the “Case Report” and “A Topic with Images” categories may be submitted only as Poster Presentations and must not be submitted as Oral Presentations.

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to change the presentation type of abstracts to Oral or Poster Presentation.

Abstract texts (excluding references, keywords, table and figure captions) must not exceed 4,500 characters.

The official language of the abstracts is Turkish. Abstracts submitted in other languages will not be accepted.

The abstract must not have been previously published in any journal.

TRUCTURE AND EVALUATION CRITERIA
Original Research Articles

Abstracts must be structured as follows:
Introduction and Objective, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion.

Abstracts submitted under this category will be evaluated by reviewers based on criteria such as:

Compliance with writing guidelines

Consistency between title and content

Presence of ethics committee application/approval

Appropriateness of patient selection

Appropriateness of study methodology

Specification of statistical methods and results

Adequate presentation and discussion of findings

Clear statement of conclusions

Appropriateness of tables and radiological images

Clinical and scientific significance of the study

Authors are strongly advised to prepare their abstracts in accordance with these criteria.

Ethics Committee application/approval is a scientific requirement for all original research articles and is the responsibility of the authors.
The presence or absence of Ethics Committee approval is not a prerequisite for acceptance or rejection; however, the Scientific Committee strongly recommends obtaining Ethics Committee approval.
If applicable, the Ethics Committee approval/application date and number should be stated in the abstract.

Ethics Committee approval is not required for abstracts submitted under the Case Report or A Topic with Images categories.

Case Reports

Abstracts must be structured as:
Introduction and Objective, Case Presentation, Discussion and Conclusion.

They will be evaluated based on:

  • Compliance with writing guidelines

  • Contribution of radiological images

  • Educational and scientific value of the study

A Topic with Images

Abstracts must be structured as:
Introduction and Objective, Cases, Discussion and Conclusion.

They will be evaluated based on:

  • Compliance with writing guidelines

  • Contribution of radiological images and captions

  • Clinical significance and educational value

REFERENCES

References must be included in the relevant section of the abstract submission system and must not exceed 1,500 characters.
In-text citations must be provided at appropriate points.

For consistency in the Abstract Book, references should be formatted according to the examples below

IMAGES AND TABLES

During submission, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 images (and/or tables) explaining the presentation must be uploaded.

  • Images and tables must be uploaded in JPEG or PNG format

  • Uploaded images must not contain patient or hospital information

  • Images should be named as Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.

  • Arrows or markers may be used to highlight critical findings

KEYWORDS

Keywords must be selected from the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) index.
Keywords must be in Turkish.

  • Captions for images and tables must be entered in the designated “Description” field

  • Images and tables must be cited in the abstract text

ABSTRACT BOOK

At the end of the congress, abstracts of accepted submissions will be published as an e-book titled “Abstract Book.”
Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted, without editorial correction.

Therefore, authors are responsible for ensuring that abstracts are written clearly and in full compliance with these guidelines.

ABSTRACT REVIEW PROCESS

Following peer review, authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection via email.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ACCEPTED POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Accepted poster abstracts must be uploaded to the system as completed full texts by November 31, 2025.

Poster presentations to be displayed digitally during the congress must be in their final completed form.
Abstracts of posters not uploaded by the specified deadline will not be included in the Abstract Book.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CONGRESS REGISTRATION

For oral presentations, the presenting author;
for poster presentations, at least one author listed, must complete congress registration by November 10, 2025 at the latest.

Abstracts of authors who have not completed registration by this date will not be included in the Abstract Book, in accordance with the decision of the TRD Executive Board.
